2001 AWARDS

After we skipped 2000 because of the many changes in the webring system and a ringmaster that was too busy with other things, this year gives us new awards! Yuri Nikulin, webmaster of the Elvis Is Alive site, suggested to start it again and did all the work like the design of the forms, collecting of the votes (which came in a disappointing amount) and compiling the results. Here are the winners:

ElvisNews.com

1999 AWARDS

As follow up to last year's awards we (David and Lex) decided to do things a little different this year. Based upon the enthousiastic reactions last year the Elvis Scores: Best of the Net-list was started. We invited the webmasters of  the Top 25 to bring out their own votes. Most of them did and from their votes we compiled a list, with the following results:

All sites from #2 - #5 for each list deserve this tiny award. We really think they should be proud of it, because they got it on behalf of all Elvis fans on the net, contributing to the list! Points were very close, certainly in the top of the list, but also just below. We hope it will encourage every webmaster to put even more time on their sites!

Last, but certainly not least we decided to give the

to The Elvis Presley Kingdom. This really is a great site to see, navigate and to get some great information too. We think that this site deserves some extra attention and we are proud to have it in our ring.

Summer 1998 is an important date for the Elvis fans on the Internet. In July we decided to give an award to those sites in the ring that really offers something special to the fans. We took a careful look at all member-sites and gave only a few of them this special award. We hope they wear it proudly and it gives you, the fan, the opportunity to find the best Elvis-sites around in just a few clicks.

We plan to do this every year, so it might encourage people to give their site a facelift or add important information to earn this special award.

GOLD AWARD 1998

For CD Fans Only by Willem Kaauw.

For several years Willem puts a lot of energy in his great website. We are sure a lot of the fans are visiting his website on a very regular base already. Because of the up-to-date import information, news from BMG, new audio files or pictures, this site requires to be visited often. For the real Elvis fan it is a must and we really hope Willem will continue his great job for a long, long time.

Jordan's Elvis World by Jordan.

Another fan putting much time in his website. He is one of the younger Elvis fans with a site on the net and really gives a lot of pleasure to many of us. He has the largest real-audio library around. Believe us, it takes a lot of time to produce them and make them available to all of us. Keep it going, Jordan!

For Elvis Fans Only by David Troedson.

He doesn't only deserve this award, but also the award for the site that changed name most often :-). Anyway, it seems the site is really settled now and David did a great job in a pretty short time. Really innovating, very user-friendly and - most important - very informative. Great look, good pictures, also a must for the surfing Elvis fan.

Lex' Elvis Page by Lex Raaphorst

Lex' Elvis Presley Page has always been one of the top website's. I particularly like the section 'Sandi's Candid's', as it contains some of the greatest pictures ever taken of Elvis Presley. But there's more than just this website, Lex has many more including - Down In The Alley, Elvis In Hollywood, August 1969, February 1970, Caught Stage Power, One Night in Black and White, It's Elvis Time and his Elvis Links page. Each new website is a delight to see. - All are Pure Gold!

RISING STAR 1998

The Elvis Internet Times   by Joakim "The Hepcat" Persson

In a pretty short time Joakim designed a very good looking informative site about our man. Some good reviews and nice pictures makes this site worth the time to visit.
