Note from the ringmaster: I'd like to thank Yuri for all the work he put in the TCB Awards of 2001. You can find the winners at the page above.
Won't you wear my TCB ring?
The common goal of a webring is to be able to wander from page to page. "I can do that anyway!", you're thinking? Yes, you can, but by a webring you can select your subject. So in our case you'll only see pages with the King of Rock & Roll as subject. They may vary in quality, quantity or taste, but they are all related to Elvis. In other words the Won't you wear my TCB ring is a closed chain of Elvis-related sites. When you push the next button often enough you'll get back where you started, but you can also go to a random site in the ring or pick a site from the index of the ring. This whole thing is made possible by the Yahoo!Webring, here you can find other thematic rings too.
Why this name?
For the fans it's quiet obvious where the name for this ring is coming from. So this is only for people who arrived here by accident and are still reading. Won't you wear my ring was a hit record for Elvis in 1958. "Taking Care of Business in a Flash" was Elvis' motto and he had a pretty famous ring with the TCB-logo (indeed, the lightning-bold). Since I'm not the most original person in the world, this was the only name I could make up.
The original logo I designed contains of course the title 'Won't you wear my TCB ring', the letters 'E.P.' (guess where they are for, no wrong, it's not Extended Play) and a little graphic. Check out Eddie Fadal's Elvis Presley museum to see where I got that graphic from. After the merger of the webring and Yahoo! the ringcode changed, and I took the picture of the original ring as logo.
Who's the boss?
Okay, don't blame me for this! I had to choose someone! Seriously, I'm Lex Raaphorst and started this thing because it seemed nice to me to have such a ring. Those who have seen my own pages may have noticed I'm a member of another ring too. In other words, I stole the idea. First I stole more, because I thought the ring-'homepages' where a kind of default.
In the summer of 1998 I found some great help and have a co-ringmaster in managing this ring. David Troedson (Elvis Information Network) was taking the time to do this job, unfortunately he has a sabbatical year now - hopefully he will be back soon! Another webmaster caring for the Elvis-scene, Kees from the Elvis Presley Themepage, did join us too, so when I'm not present you can ask him for any help.

The sites accepted into the ring must:
Okay, this is easy enough, I suppose. After you added your site to the ring, you'll need to obtain the code from the Yahoo!webring site, or let them email it to you. I'll get notified by the system, check out your page and decide if I let you in. When I do and you added the code the system will include you automatically.
Please keep your site info up to date in the system. Currently more than 30 members have an incorrect email listed. When you read this, please correct that!
When will I be an active member of the ring?
After you added the html-code and the ringmaster (which happens to be me) approved your site.
Please enter the URL of the page dedicated to Elvis. The idea of the ring is that visitors can hop from site to site, looking for sites about The King. They might get confused if suddenly they end up on a different type of homepage. Of course your Elvis- page can contain links to your main page and other pages. You are free to put the main logo on other pages with a link to this page.
Can I add the code to another page?
As long as the code is on the URL you entered, you are free to put it on other Elvis-pages too.
Once upon a time I decided to let them in.... they started to fill the ring and at last they formed about 30% of it. I got a lot of complaints about it and decided to start a separate ring: the Elvis Impersonator Webring. I got too busy and fortunately the Elvis Tribute Artist-webring was started, so those fakes still have their place....
